| Generally speaking, an owner may freely decorate his unit.
Decorations include such built-ins as the owner chooses. Structural alterations are generally subject to the approval of the Board. The condominium by-laws must be consulted for details, since some condominium by-laws are alteration-friendly and some are not. A residential unit owner may be asked to sign an alteration agreement covering such issues as completion dates, obligation to obtain permits, insurance coverage for workers, responsibility for resulting damage, etc.
